More description of the Andes mountains, climate, and Inca adaptations to it.The Andes Mountain climate ranges from hot to rainy and moist. Tierra is the area in the Andes Mountains that is mostly hot. Paramao is a place where the only living things that can survive is lichen and moss. The Inca had to deal with earthquakes, avalanches, mudslides, and most importantly the changing in altitudes. The Inca adapted because they built structures out of stone which fit together similar to puzzle pieces. The Inca had lots of good food. For example they grew potatoes and other tuber crops to feed large groups of people. They also provided corn (Maize). The Inca used llama poop for fertilizer, and the llamas meat for food. Corn provided good nutrition and was considered one of the Incas staple foods. They Incas also raised animals transporting food. The animals would be able to carry the food over the rock terrain.
